I have been really into KC Russel photos for a long time and I am sure you’ve seen a lot of them pop up on this site and others over the last few years.

He has a very distinct style and an instantly recognisable vintage feel to his work and always a great choice of subject matter. I asked him a few questions and he supplied Spray Beast with a bunch of exclusive photos  to go with some of my favourite forms his stuff on line. Meet Mr Russel

Who are you and where are you from?

How did you find your self getting in to photography?

My father was a studio photographer so growing up I was always around cameras. I didn’t start getting serious about until about 3 years ago.

What’s the weirdest place you’ve ended up as a result of taking pictures?

The usual.  Bridges,Tracks, Tunnels, Overpasses.

Any hairy moments when out and about with your camera?

Nothing threatening luckily. Drunks, Knives, Trains, Police/Security. But I’m still here. 

Best city’s and why?

Europe in general. Good Graff, Great Food, and lots of trains.

When you’re not taking photos what are you doing?
Looking at other peoples photos or drawing.
